Under daily direction of a special education teacher and general supervision of the school principal or designee, performs paraprofessional instructional activities and supportive tasks in support of a special education classroom. Instructs/teaches individual students and small groups of students with unique needs. Assists in the management of student behavior through the use of positive reinforcement strategies and techniques.
MUST SUCCESSFULLY PASS THE KENTUCKY PARAEDUCATOR ASSESSMENT AND HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED BEFORE YOU ARE INTERVIEWED or CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.
NO TEST IS REQUIRED IF YOU HAVE 64 COLLEGE CREDIT HOURS WITH A 2.5 GPA.
